PWC PICO DA GAVIAO, BRAZIL
The fourth stop of the 2017 PWC in Pico da Gaviao, Brazil, came to an end on Saturday. This new Brazilian site set the bar high by delivering great conditions every day of the competition.
The scores were extremely close all the way to the final task. The new Brazilian Champion and record holder, Rafael Saladini, took first overall by just one point – ahead of his comrade, Erico Oliveira. Frank Brown finished in third place for a full Brazilian podium. Rafael and Erico flew Enzo 3s.
In the women’s category, Silvia Buzzi Ferraris (ITA) took control of the field on the first day and won 6 out of 7 tasks flying her Enzo 3. In second place was Merve Aslan from Turkey followed by the local pilot, Marcella Uchoa, in third. Merve and Marcella flew Zenos.
