“It’s impossible, it can’t be done…” Whether it’s winning the Red Bull X-Alps, traversing a new mountain range, or just flying 10km from our home site, it’s a doubt that has haunted us all at some point. But this issue is all about pushing the limits of what’s possible – and saying “Yes, we can.” […] …read more

NOTES FROM QUIXADA
Our long-time friend and Cross Country Contributing Editor James “Kiwi” Johnston has just left Quixada, Brazil, reporting on OZONE Team Pilot’s Nick Greece and Josh Cohn hunt for a Declared-Goal record on their new OZONE Zeno’s. Permanently affected by both the beauty of the Brazilian desert and the hospitality of its inhabitants, “Kiwi” offers us a quick taste of record-hunting season at the world’s most famous cross-country site.
“November is record-breaking month in the State of Ceara, Brazil, and so I jumped at the opportunity to tag along to Quixada for 10 days with two former U.S. National Champions, Josh Cohn and Nick Greece to join the small contingent of world-class XC pilots who were gathering there in hope of flights over 400km.
True to form, the 1st and the 3rd of November had produced exceptional conditions, with the Brazilian pilot Leandro Pauda setting a new site record of 483 km on an Enzo 2, and Jose Rebelo, part of a trio of talented Portuguese pilots who took full advantage of the conditions, logging a flight of 471 km on his Enzo 2.

Enzo 3 Development
News for our competition pilots: The Enzo 3 will not be released for the Superfinal. Development has gone very well, with significant advances in performance. However, the OZONE R&D Team feel that it needs a little more work for them to be 100% happy.
We are aiming for a spring release, in time for the World Championships. Any pilots requiring a new wing for Superfinal should contact their dealer immediately.
In the meantime, Russ, Luc, Honorin and other top pilots are opting to fly the Zeno, because they think it will be more competitive until the Enzo 3 is released.
We look forward to the 2016 season finale, and wish everyone the best of flights.
Cheers from all the Team.

Hernan Pitocco wins in Mendoza
This may look like a repeat headline, but trust us, it’s not: the charismatic Pitocco is apparently unstoppable this season. Hernan just won the last stop of the Argentine Paragliding Cup in Mendoza, flying his trusty Enzo 2.. This is the fourth win in a row for Pitocco who, after Mendoza, is now the new Argentine National Champion.
In his words:
“Tremendous season this year for me after several victories and with this last result wining the final comp in Mendoza, obtaining the title of Argentine Paragliding champion! It was definitely not easy, the level is very high among the top pilots, you can’t lose focus for a second or you’ll find yourself behind again, but in the end that is what makes it more fun!
More than motivated for the next stages in Santiago Open and the Super Final World Cup in Brazil ! Thanks to all Pilots, Organizers, Friends for the good moments and races! And of course big thanks to all my sponsors who are always present and who support me to make all these results possible !”
Michel Guillemot took 2nd followed by Francisco Mantras in 3rd, both on Enzo 2s.
