Raul Penso Wins At Home

Ozone Team pilot, Raul Penso, finished off his 2018 season with a win in Placivel, in the north-central region of Venezuela.

After that, he continued the momentum and started 2019 with another win at the Open Andes in Merida. Few pilots know this part of the Andes as well as Raul does, so it was no surprise that he led the field in what is essentially his backyard, flying the Enzo 3.

Mantra 7 Now Available.

The Mantra M7 is a completely new design incorporating the latest Zeno and Enzo 3 technology in a tight, compact, 3-line package. The profile, planform, and arc are all evolved from the Zeno, and the aspect ratio is a more moderate 6.5. The M7 offer a level of agility, comfort and safety closer to the Delta series, with near-Zeno glide performance. Most importantly, it is an incredibly fun wing to fly!

This new design replaces the M6, and bridges the gap in our range between the Delta 3 and Zeno. It is a significant step up from the M6 in terms of performance, especially in accelerated flight, but with better collapse recovery characteristics, reduced pilot workload, and more cohesion in turbulent air. It is the ideal wing for experienced pilots stepping up to the D class who want the performance and pleasure of a modern 2-liner, but with more comfort, security, and confidence.

OZONE TEAM – WORLD SLALOM CHAMPIONS

The 3rd World Paramotor Slalom Championships took place in the beautiful Lake Qarun in Fayoum District in Egypt, near Cairo.
50 pilots from 13 countries were competing during 7 days. In spite of windy weather during the first 3 days, the organiser Sky Sports Egypt and Competition Director Jose Ortega managed to run a successful competition with over 10 tasks before the finals runs made by the best pilots.
Hot weather and constantly changing wind conditions were not easy for the pilots and organisers with many pilots making mistakes or experiencing engine difficulties and ending in the water. Watching final task between 22-18-12-8-6-3 and 2 best pilots is always a very exciting experience.
Team Ozone is very proud to have the best Slalom pilots in the World!:
Alex Mateos (France) finished 1st with World Champion title flying Freeride 14
Nicolas Auber (France) – 2nd flying Viper 4 14
Marie Mateos (France) – 1st Female World Champion and 6th in overall flying Freeride 14
Boris TYSEBAERT (France) – 3rd in a single trike category flying Viper 4 15
Big Congratulations to all pilots for their excellent performance and results.
Cheers from all the Team

1600 km XC in Brazil

Earlier this year, two pilots Kester Haynes (Ozone Freeride) and Daniel Rodrigues (Ozone Roadster 3 26) planned 10 days cross country flight, with a goal to design a route for the 2019 Icarus Trophy Race. They flew total distance of 1600 km having a ground crew support of three 4×4 cars. Kester describes it shortly as “next level adventure”

Kester reports:

“Daniel and I set off on our mission with all the kit we would expect an Icarus Trophy pilot to carry, its heavy! Although we would be carrying everything as if unsupported – Race Class style – we had made pre arranged meeting points with our ground crew, more like Adventure Class.

The landscape, terrain and fuel availability for the first couple of days, was a gentle warm up. Then leaving the hills behind, comes the Pantanal – the World largest tropical wetland area. This is where you feel like you’re entering another world. I never could have imagined what it felt like to fly over this wild and difficult place! To try to put the remoteness of the landscape into perspective, we often flew for a couple of hours and then the support cars had to take a 14 hours route! …read more
