OZONE TEAM – WORLD SLALOM CHAMPIONS

The 3rd World Paramotor Slalom Championships took place in the beautiful Lake Qarun in Fayoum District in Egypt, near Cairo.
50 pilots from 13 countries were competing during 7 days. In spite of windy weather during the first 3 days, the organiser Sky Sports Egypt and Competition Director Jose Ortega managed to run a successful competition with over 10 tasks before the finals runs made by the best pilots.
Hot weather and constantly changing wind conditions were not easy for the pilots and organisers with many pilots making mistakes or experiencing engine difficulties and ending in the water. Watching final task between 22-18-12-8-6-3 and 2 best pilots is always a very exciting experience.
Team OZONE is very proud to have the best Slalom pilots in the World!:
Alex Mateos (France) finished 1st with World Champion title flying Freeride 14
Nicolas Auber (France) – 2nd flying Viper 4 14
Marie Mateos (France) – 1st Female World Champion and 6th in overall flying Freeride 14
Boris TYSEBAERT (France) – 3rd in a single trike category flying Viper 4 15
Big Congratulations to all pilots for their excellent performance and results.
Cheers from all the Team

MARCELLA UCHOA FLIES 411KM, SETTING THREE NEW WORLD RECORDS.

Brazilian pilot, Marcella Uchoa has just set three new distance records with a single flight: Straight Distance, Straight Distance to a declared goal and Free Distance using up to three turnpoints

Marcela launched from Assu, in Rio Grande do Norte, landing 10 hours later at Tamboril in Ceará, with a straight distance of 411 km.

In Marcella’s words:

“The flying conditions of my record flight was very difficult. Turbulent, blue and very challenging. I was the last one to be towed, so I flew the first kms by myself, then I was able to connect with Frank Brown and Marcelo Prieto and later on we connected with Samuel Nascimento and Rafael Saladini. It was very very turbulent, it was not easy to fly the Enzo S in those conditions, so I was able to eat something only after 2pm. I think I did not fly very well, I always climb well, but that day I could not do it very well. Only between 10-12pm we had clouds. After Quixeramobim, turned blue again and the whole flight there was a thermal inversion making it more turbulent. We had several low saves. And when I thought it was getting weaker (I was …read more

Théo de Blic presents: SuperStall to Infinit

It is fair enough to say that Théo de Blic (FRA) is nowadays most skilled and trained acro pilot. He is impressing everybody with his motivation, technical skills, perfectly clean maneuvers, creativity and by delivering new tricks to the scene. He was also one of the very few pilots who pushed the sport to the next level by performing highly technical maneuvers twisted for the first time, setting the new standards for new-school aerobatics. As it feels like that the apex of this evolution if nearing, some old ideas started to emerge in the scene again and a rather crazy experiment began to take place. After David Thibodeau (CAN) opened up a conversation on Facebook about the Full Stall to Infinity, Egor Posokhin (RUS) did not waste time and went out to try it. The videos Egor posted made Théo go on a mission to Lake Garda to see if he could do it! Guess what, the legends of a new connection became reality! Click to read the full of the birth of a new maneuver: Superstall to Infinite!
