Nick Greece wins in Oregon

The Applegate Open, first stop of the US Nationals, has wrapped up in Oregon, USA.

OZONE Team pilot and winner of the event, Nick Greece, shares his experience from Woodrat:

“The Applegate Open just wrapped up, and I was able to hang on and finish in 1st place. This is in stark contrast to my last competition, where I literally was somehow able to spiral down to last place by the final day. The first Applegate Open was, by all accounts, a raging success. A calmly run event with little drama, …read more

From Portugal to Spain

On June 13th, Portuguese pilots Carlos Lopes (Zeno), Eusébio Soares (Enzo 3) and Pedro Neves (Zeno) took advantage of one of the first good days of the season, joining forces to fly from the mountains of Gardunha in Portugal to the flats of Spain.

After more than seven hours in the air and shortly before sunset, the Portuguese armada landed at 280 km. They didn’t find many clouds during their flight but consistent conditions and teamwork saw them through.

Carlos and Eusebio are regular visitors to Quixada in Brazil and both have several +400km flights to their credit.

Thanks to our friend Nuno Virgilio for the report.

For flight tracks: Carlos’s, Pedro’s and Eusebio’s

Congrats and cheers from all the OZONE team.
