ALPEN CUP 2016

The Alpen Cup is a competition series joined by the paragliding leagues of Austria, Germany, Italy and Slovenia. The competition changes its location every year. In 2014 the first Alpen Cup took place in Feltre, Italy. In 2015 the Alpen cup was scheduled to take place in Austria, but was canceled due to bad weather. This year the event came back to Greifenburg, Austria and saw 4 valid tasks including a first task of 164 kms.
Ferdinand Vogel, from Germany, won the overall comp followed by the Slovenian Tilen Ceglar and Dušan Orož , all flying Enzo 2s.
In the Women’s category the competition was dominated by German pilots with Ewa Korneluk-Guzy in 1st (Mantra 6), Yvonne Dathe in 2nd (Enzo 2) and Annalena Hinestroza in 3rd.
In the top 10, 9 pilots flew Enzo 2s.
